What better way to start our day than to eat Swiss chocolate for breakfast on the way to the airport?
Next, we jumped on a train, and then a plane, and headed over to Berlin, Germany. Here is part of our view from the train ride to the airport.
When we finally arrived, we were pretty hungry! We wanted a really good, traditional sausage, so we looked on Google maps for some good places to eat. There was a place with the word “Schnitzel” in the title, so we assumed that they had sausage, seeing as WienerSchnitzel serves hot dogs. So, we walked about a mile only to find out that a Schnitzel is a fried piece of meat! Oops! Definitely not the sausages we were looking for. But, at least the views were nice.
Next up, the Berlin Wall. Wow, what an amazing site to see! The history was rich, and it was interesting to learn more about.
After visiting the Berlin wall, we got pretty hungry, so we found a place that had actual sausages and all of the amazing things that went with them. We made a stop at the Biergartens downtown.
While we were walking around Berlin, we noticed an odd cover on the side of the roads. It turns out, there are hydrants concealed in the ground! We thought that it was really interesting.
The next interesting thing that we noticed while walking around was that the crossing signals were not what we were accustomed to. Instead, they looked like this:
